Scholarship Information
In keeping with our commitment to education for the workforce, we provide funds to assist employees of manufacturers for continuing education.
As most of our manufacturing members already provide their employees with financial assistance to defray the costs of books and tuition, the SAMA Scholarship was created to be used to pay some of the non-traditional expenses that occur when a full-time employee pursues higher education while working.
$500.00 cash grants are available for full time employees of SAMA manufacturing members in good standing. The funds are intended to offset transportation costs, childcare, special tools and other incidental expenses related to going to class while working.
To be eligible, an employee must complete the one page application and submit it along with a letter of recommendation from their plant manager. Applications are reviewed and considered upon the basis of need and merit.
